The rain all through the previous week—and even that very morning—then suddenly, a dazzling winter sun sweeping away every last trace of doubt.
Throughout the planning of this event, our shared love of Led Zeppelin often carried conversations far beyond the bounds of the wedding itself. And yet, the schedule was flawlessly honored—despite all the things planned during that magnificent day at the Château de Faverges.
A château between lake and mountains
Nestled in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional du Massif des Bauges in Haute-Savoie, the Château de Faverges sits 22 kilometres from Annecy at the foot of the mountains. Its medieval keep — a listed historic monument — towers over a 3,000 square metre interior courtyard, while the Henri IV reception hall welcomes up to 200 guests. From the ceremony to the dancing, the estate offers a seamless, self-contained setting where elegance and warmth go hand in hand.
